Samples on Your Own Wood
Three or four candidate colors are painted onto sanded oak right by a window, so you can weigh them over breakfast and again under the lamps at night.

Color magnifies sander marks, so we finish on fine paper and run the vacuum through twice before any can of stain gets opened.
Pigment is spread with pads and the excess pulled off quickly, so each square foot ends up matching its neighbor, free of dark rings beside the trim.
Our own licensed, insured employees with NWFA training handle each staining project, and the workmanship is guaranteed through the following year.

Our staining rate is $2.00/Sq Ft. Most floors need sanding beforehand for an even result, and a full sand and refinish runs $2.50/Sq Ft. We confirm at the free estimate.
Yes. Most oak handles dark stain well. We sand to clean wood and test right on your floor, since one can may look one way on red oak and another way on white.
Red oak carries warm undertones that come through clear and light finishes. Toning, or going a shade or two deeper, calms that without hiding the grain.
Gray works best on white oak. On red oak it can look murky, which is why we test first and let you judge the sample in your own light.
Yes. We mix and test until the new shade agrees with the adjoining floor, so rooms or additions read as one continuous surface throughout the house.
After staining, clear finish layers go on and each needs drying time. Your estimator writes out a timeline for walking and for carrying furniture in.
We collect fifty percent on day one and the remaining fifty when your floor is done and you've looked it over. No surprise charges.
Staff employees, each licensed, insured and NWFA trained. We guarantee their labor for twelve months, and come back if the color or finish looks off.
