We match species, strip width and grain direction, then brush trial stain onto the fresh wood until it sits comfortably beside oak that's been there for decades.

At the free visit we take moisture readings, look at the joists from the cellar when we can and find the cause, so the fix holds up for good.
Loose strips that click underfoot get pulled down tight, and the winter gaps between rows get filled so sand and crumbs stop collecting there.
NWFA trained techs with a state license and liability coverage do all repairs, and our workmanship stays guaranteed for one full year.

Not honestly. Damage that looks small often runs under a cabinet or into the next room. One of our techs looks in person, free, and gives you a firm number before any saw comes out.
Leftover strips from the original job are gold for a repair. If they're the same species and width, we use them first, and the match is usually perfect once stained.
Yes. We cut back to sound wood, lace new strips into the rows on all sides and blend the finish, so only that busy traffic zone gets touched.
Usually not. We let the oak dry with fans, meter it over a few days, and replace only strips that stay cupped or turn black. Many recover more than you'd expect.
Rarely. Urine that turned black has gone deep into the fibers, so those strips get removed and new oak goes in, stained to blend with the rest.
When the surrounding oak still looks decent, a local blend is enough. If it's dull everywhere, sanding every square foot for $2.50/Sq Ft makes the patch truly invisible.
Once you okay the price from our visit, the work goes on the calendar. Labor is paid when the tech shows up, and we never take a deposit in advance.
Repair labor is guaranteed one year by our licensed, insured crew. If a patched strip lifts or a fix lets go because of our work, a tech comes back at no cost.
